Our Process:

Quote:

We begin by meeting with you to discuss your project. We learn about your style and what you are looking for. We then inspect the space gathering measurements and accounting for wear and needs for repair. We then provide you with an estimate, and timeline for us to make your concrete the impact statement you’re searching for.

Preparation:

We spend the first part of the job preparing the concrete. This is the most vital step when getting creating an epoxy coating. poor set up could result in a lack of adhesion, causing the coating to peel and flake prematurely. We begin by scraping and using a grinder to remove any unwanted debris. Next we clean your flooring by removing dirt, and other particles. Removing any grim or grease left on your surface is important as that can cause issues with securing the epoxy to the concrete. With your surface clean we prep the floor by repairing any cracks or divots. These steps are very labor intensive and time-consuming. One mistake could cause problems for your floor. We take extra caution to ensure that every square inch is properly prepared.

Application:

With your garage floors properly prepared it is time to apply the epoxy primer. Priming gives your floor a longer life and better adhesion to the substrate. It also seals the substrate which reduces the risk of bubbles and gasses in your final epoxy coat. Next we lay the first coat of epoxy, using the highest quality products and tools we apply the first colored layer with a squeegee or a roller. We pay close attention to get the epoxy color into every corner of your garage, applying multiple coats for true color and coverage. During this phase we execute your design specifications. If we are including an emblem, a design, or decorative flakes, no matter, we are focused on making this beautiful piece a statement you remember each time you enter your garage. With that complete we call it a day, allowing the epoxy to cure overnight. Now it’s time to make it shine. After the coatings have fully cured (typically the next day), we apply a polyurethane clear coat for that glossy finish. Once this drys we are complete. You are ready to move your cars and anything else back into place within your garage and start to enjoy. The only problem now will be not to spend too much time in the garage.

Benefits of Epoxy Coatings:

What is epoxy? The chemical composition of epoxy coatings can be pretty complex, however as an alternative to describing these elaborate details, it makes sense to focus more on how it works, and what options are in the market. Epoxy is a thermosetting-epoxide polymer. This is a type of chemistry that occurs to items that once cured, it can’t return to its previous states. Its caused by a reaction between the chemicals, which assist to cure or harden it, as a bi-state of the transition it creates a very durable and very strong adhesive. This process makes these chemical compositions so beneficial in bonding to, sealing and protecting surfaces in many different spaces beyond garage floors, like commercial, residential, industrial, marine, and even in artwork. Epoxy benefits include:

Affordability:

This long lasting flooring option compared to other types of flooring is not only more durable and easier to care for but costs less to install and per square foot and costs less to maintain in the future too.

Easy Maintenance:

Epoxy flooring is simple to care for with a little soap and water the average spill will wipe right up. Most cleaners can be used on epoxy without causing damage to the finish. With simple cleaning on occasion, and a reseal every five years, your floors should remain in show-ready shape for decades!

Durability:

We know you want to have flooring that is going to last and that can stand up to the abuses of weather, spills, kids, cars, and an ambitious project here and there. Epoxy hardens into a protective shell that could last a as long as the house with proper care. Compared to other types of flooring your floors will last longer and look newer.

Creative and Beautiful Designs:

Epoxy concrete coating may have quite a bit of use in the industrial sector because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and affordability. However, that does not mean that it has to look industrial. Professionals in residential homes, office spaces, counter tops, and more treat the combination of epoxy and concrete as a canvas to create amazing designs, artwork statements, and even imitate other more expensive materials like cut stone or marble. No matter the style you are going for epoxy can make a beautiful statement in your space.

Safer/Anti-Slip:

With most solid surfaces there is a risk of slip-safety. That is not the case with an epoxy garage floor. One of the many great things about this type of flooring is that it can offer slip resistance. This is especially helpful on wet floors and in areas where safety is going to be a primary concern.

Fewer Particulates:

With normal flooring, it seems as if it’s always collecting dust and dirt. That is because of their porous materials. Unlike other floors, epoxy floors won’t hold onto dust and other particulates as easily as normal flooring thanks to its sealing chemical makeup. This means that cleaning sweeping or moping this type of flooring regularly will be much easier in comparison.

Fast Installation:

Most flooring solutions take many days if not weeks for installation. The installation of an epoxy coating can normally be done in a couple of days, especially when you have Rose Concrete and Stain doing it for you. Preparation is the key to ensuring a fast, easy, and quality installation.
